Triple T was my first time riding the new Suzuki and I thought i'd tell you guys what I thought. Alot of you might know me. My name is Ross Hammett and I race a K&K YFZ, and my father recently purchased the new bike for me. I have to say it the most comfortable and best handling stock bike I have ever ridden. The front end may be just a tad too stiff but it wasn't enough to through me off. I also noticed that in situations where the Yamaha would bottom out that Suzuki would hold its own and make it as smooth as possible without bottoming out. In terms of how comfortible it was it felt similar to my YFZ. My YFZ has a +2 steering stem and Universal handlebars, and sitting on the trailer the bend and height on the two looked basicaly identical. They felt the same also. So the handlebars aren't what I would first change. I think a must-have would be a steering stabilizer, in addition to nerf bars and a kill switch. Because this bike seems to take what little imput you put into it and put alot more than expect out. You can just feel evey rut in the track through the handlebars. It doesnt rut-hunt, it just tends to make the ones that it hits feel more jaring. Oh! And power! This thing will rip in stock form. But it lacks the "built motor" snap that alot of us need to get the front end up when needed. But it could pull a holeshot if you want it bad enough. My Yamaha tends to have so much power that it will just spin in any type terrain, even on concrete in fifth gear. But the Suzuki seems to put all of what it has to the ground and get it moving as fast as possible. Im guessing that it would put out to 39-40 HP without the baffle and no airbox lid. Thats awsome compared to the Yamaha in stock form. I dont care what anyone says, i've seen the dyno charts, and a stock Yamaha only puts out around 26 HP. But im not sure what it will do without the airbox lid and the baffle. But if you did that to the Yamaha and you wanted to get the maximum performance out of it you would need to play with the jets and thats just trouble. It also handled corners alot better then I expected. I was like "wow!" This bike railed the corners. It would brake loose on demand if you need it too. Incase you didn't know, Doug Gust is going to run stock tires on the bike. There good tires. I think they hook up better then the holeshots. It might be the power, or it could be how tacky the tires are, im not sure. But they work just fine. The fourth and fifth gear are a little tall, but that's changable. I think it would depend on what type of track you would race on. This might be random but, the seet is awsome too.its in between the Honda and the Z-400. Its just about right. I love this bike and we plan on turning it into my primary race bike soon. But this is all the time I have to write. Hope you understood what i've wrote about. If you've ridden one, comment and let me know what you think and how you feel. Thanks!
