    dvx rider:

Lastly, news flash, everyone works, everyone has other things to do, you're not the only one.  Working is the weakest reason not to go.  I work weekends, but am off during the week, so guess what, if it's a race weekend I WORK EXTRA DURING THE FRIGGIN WEEK.  It's not hard, it just takes effort, like was stated earlier, if you're passionate about this, you'll find a way to make it.  There's never been a tombstone printed that says 'I wish I would've worked more'.

Believe me, if that would work for me I'd be at every race.  But I have to be on call at work 24/7 for a week at a time every 5th and 6th week.

I spoke to Donny at LL's and he seemed willing to do a race for us at Echeconnee.  I'll call him tomorrow and see if he was just scared to tell me no to my face.

I spoke with Donny extensively prior to finalizing our schedule. He wanted a guarantee of at least 200 riders and I couldn't give him that. We also tried to couple our event with the 6 Hours of Georgia race. That also didn't work out.

From all points, a "business meeting" seems like a go. We will announce more on this soon.

    Re: Rider Turnout

Well, some of us have work schedules we have to stick to. I'm sorry i dont have a "flexible" work week.I work for Mayfield ice cream. And anybody who is in that type of work(coke/pepsi,frito lay, bread, ice cream, etc)knows that you will work on saturdays.I took a day off to make ChrisCross.Had a blast. If i take a day off it costs me about $200 bucks off my check(kinda cuts into the racing budget, huh?) Me making the Monster,Big Cedar, and Mill Creek races are easy since i can get off in time to drive to them before practice starts. I agree the schedule can't cater to everyone, but the point was to be at all the races possible.

I do agree with DVX rider on the flagging/track help issue. That was me and Paul Hill that helped with the watering at ChrisCross. I think we racers should handle the flag duties at least.

    Re: Rider Turnout

OK, guys, we really need a great turnout at Monster Mtn on the 23rd.  Everyone needs to go to jmrpowersports.com and check out the Estes thread.  Our race at Estes was cancelled for later this month due to scheduling conflicts, etc...but at their Oct race, quads will be allowed.  Well guys, been there, done that and don't want to go back.  As it has been mention in another post, the quads practice first and typicall raced last, we only had 3 classes, these were either 4 stroke/2 stroke/minis, or expert/amateur/minis.  We waited a whole day, to race in or watch a total of 3 motos.  This is what we have been trying to tell everyone.  Now is the time to start looking at your schedules, trying to work things around so that everybody can be at every race.  Our turnout will truly determine if we have a series next year.

We have all shared our thoughts and our ideas.  Top five to get trophies with the minis (if the tracks have not already orderd 5 for every class).  We will stp up to help flag/water do whatever to takes to make it profitible for the track owners.  I have flagged many races, at a # of different tracks.  We will do this without expecting compensation from the track owners, knowing that the other gus out there have been hired by and being paid by the owners.

Guys it is up to us, if we have SEQuads in 07.

    Ronnie

CJ and I did't know about a race at warrior or we wouldhave tried to be there. We have been occupied with my dad, CJ's Poppa. He had been sick. Unfortunantly, my dad passed away on 6-17-08 and was buried today ( 6-20 ). We hope to be racing again soon. We were planning to go to Muddy Creek this weekend but couldn't make it. Quadfather.
