It was a tragic accident for Zak. All the pros pitched in to help along with all the other riders in an auction for Zak. They were raising a lot of money to try and help out Scott and Pattie in their hour of need. Zak will be truelly missed. I talked to him before he went to race. He was in great spirits as always and doing what he loved to do. We'll miss him.

Re: Your prayers are requested ...........#23

It was a horrible tragedy for the Griffins.  We were there with them and have been in touch with Scott since he returned home.  We will post news here of the arrangements.  The ATVA did hold an auction, it provided a way for Zak's ATV family to reach out and help in this time of need.  Most of these people did not know Zak but they knew they had lost a fellow rider and that meant family to them.  I was at the auction and it was unbelievable what people were doing, items would be auctioned and sometimes donated right back to be auctioned again.  I saw things like a T-shirt & hat signed by a Pro go for hundreds of dollars, helmets signed by Pros went for $1,000 & more.  The Pros & Vendors continued bringing items throughout the auction.  The response was amazing.  They plan to hold another auction in GA next weekend.  If you are planning to go to race please attend the auction so that you can see for yourselves the amazing outpouring of  love & support.  I am sure many of you feel as helpless as we do but want to do something to show our love & support.  We at SEQuads will discuss what we can do and post details soon.  Zak was one of ours and we will miss him terribly.

Re: Your prayers are requested ...........#23

    Karen,

Thanks for the update.  Those of us that were not there felt a most horrible feeling upon hearing the news Saturday.  I told Ronnie, that I cannot imagine how the people at the track felt.  Everyone one loved Zac, as Bill West posted on ATVScene, Zac always had a smile on his face, a nice guy to be around, and even a good guy for your son to be around.

Please let us know the arrangements, we will have to work around Klesie's tonsilectomy this week, etc.

Scott, you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

    Ronnie, Gina Wes and Kelsie

I just received this from Jason Standridge's mother:
I would like to send my condolences to the family of Zac Griffin.  Having lost Jason this year, I know that this is the most devestating time of their lives and will be for some time to come.  My thoughts and prayers are with them .My thoughts and prayers are also with the sequad family.  It seems tragedy has struck all too frequently this year.  Your kindness and love makes all the difference in difficult times such as these.  as long as I live, I will never forget sequads and the love that they continue to show me and my family.  Please forward this to Mr. and Mrs. Griffin and let them know that I will be in touch at a later time when things settle down for them.  I will be there for any need they may have.   thank you so much,

I had no idea about the auction, I'll make sure to bring some funding with me this weekend.  There are no words, saddest thing I've ever witnessed.
