Re: Where to ride in GA???????

Twin Peaks is about all.  Twin Peaks shouldn't be that far from you, its only 20-25 minutes north of Calhoun SX.  Plus, they pay money to ALL classes that have over 10 entries all the way back to 5th place.  I went and raced there today, there weren't but a few quads but it was fun.

Also, if you interested in going a bit into TN on HWY 411, Laurel Mountain www.themountainmx.com has one of the nicest tracks Ive seen, it's as nice as Bremen if not nicer!  Lot of big elevation changes.  They've been having a good turnout on the quads.  It appears they have beg, am, expert all with about 6-8 quads each.  Its only about 40 miles into TN on HWY 411.

Re: Where to ride in GA???????

Hahhaaha!  No, they dont pay me any money, just so happens thats the only place for me to ride within 3 hoursBig Smile  Plus I have yet to see any other track pay money on a regular basis to quads on a regular schedule, granted they have the turnout.

Re: Where to ride in GA???????

ok, last i heard high falls didnt let quads, but thats cool they do, heres another question, on twin peaks website it says quads cant practice on sundays... do they still have that rule?  also how far is hogansville from the woodstock/canton area?

Bad thing about no quads on sundays is thats usually my only day off of work.

also can anyone confirm that calhoun doesnt allow them anymore, or is it just bremen?

    thanks for the info guys

Re: Where to ride in GA???????

Twin Peaks doesnt allow anybody on Sunday for practice, they are racing!!!  You can practice ANY WEEK DAY during the week from 10am-6pm on an unprepped track for $10 also.  Thats when I like to go, nothing more fun than hammering on a dry track because it is tacky as hell on a prepped day.

Re: Where to ride in GA???????

you are looking at 2hr from woodstock it is straight down 85 around 4 exits b4 the alabama line. monro lets quads ride on sat last i heard but who knows the ga scene is going to the craper and i hate to say it but i am glad i moved to florida the tracks are way better than the normal sat night or week end practice tracks that at one time let quads ride. mx country club is a great track and has a great owner but plz if anyone goes treat the place like it is your front yard follow all the rules ride slow thru the pits no redneck stuff and have all the gear on your person and parts on your quad that you should have this track has not let quads on it for a very very long time due to this stuff but a few weeks ago he had a change of hart due to some nice guys we will call them. last thing we need is a no quad track turned to a ok quad track then back to no quad track.

Re: Where to ride in GA???????

Wow!  I had no idea you were that far from Calhoun.  I thought woodstock was pretty close to Ackworth.  I frequently travel from Ackworth off 92 at my inlaws to Calhoun and usually takes me about 30 minutes.  I guess Twin Peaks wouldn't be your closest bet by far.

Re: Where to ride in GA???????

yea i used to come down 92 to acworth hop on 75, but now i started going through canton down 140 past reinhardt, way less traffic, it was a good hour and 1/2 takin the 92 route

but yea my closest track is talking rock, takes about 45 to an hour of course no quads, as much as i hate to say it im thinkin about a bike, with no where to ride a  7k+ quad... just doesnt add up, i gotta have something to ride and work on though..
