    womans class????

My daughter is at an in-between size and age. She still has a 90 but we also have her on a big one. We were counting on her being able to race it in the womans class. Now I find out it is for fun and no POINTS>>> She is really too big for her 90. Is there a chance that the points thing will change? Thanks

    Re: womans class????

You might want to consider the youth production class. 300cc 4-stroke, 200cc 2-stroke,

    Bill

    Re: womans class????

How old is your daughter? My son is 13 and races the 90 class nationally and in the SeQuad Series and is a pretty big guy.( I would say boy but he'd kill me!!) We are also going to let him race the youth prod. class also in the SEQuad Series.

She is also 13 and is pretty big. Like 5'4 tall and pretty healthy. She looks ridiculous riding her 90. Ya know? So we got her a 250R, and she is just learning the gears.. What type of 90 do you have your son on? Maybe we just picked the wrong one?? Thanks for the input..

He is also 5'4" and weights 150lbs. He rode a Dinli 90 last year but will be on a Cobra and 300ex this year.

    Re: womans class????

I know how they feel about their size. I had to ride 125's (bikes) when i was 14 because i was 6 foot tall and 150 pounds. Everyone else my age was still on 80's. I agree they sould have a points class for women, but i only saw 1 or 2 ladies at our races last year.

    Re: womans class????

Ok, So, maybe we will have her on her 90 again this year in 1 class, NOT SURE WHICH ONE, and put her on the 250R in the womans as a learning year... That may work. I am sure we will see you there. We can't wait. So she will not be against him on his cobra will she. Isn't that like a shifter class?? Or what?

    Re: womans class????

Thanks for the imput Ned, that makes me feel better that there are other people with the same problem. We just moved here from the NNorth and we can't wait to race here. We heard it is way different down here. We went to one track in the summer last year when we first moved here, and they were NOT quad friendly and we never went back. They allowed them but ... Anyway, during a practice, not even a race, her air filter came off and the bikes just ran over it. No one even let her know. All the dads were standing there too. Then, she broke down,(it wasn't a good day) and they let her push her quad off herself, not even trying to help. Until we saw her and got her off the track. I guess you have not so friendly people everywhere you go. HUH?? Well, hope to see ya at the track!!

    Re: womans class????

    miniquadmom,

We started out in the mini quad class with a son and a daughter.  Our son, too, was tall for his age, but trying to stay within the ATVA rules at the time, he also rode a 90.  Two years ago he raced his blaster, and was he cramped at about 6 feet tall!  Our series is small, therefore we can't have the # of class we would like to have.  As previous racers have said, we have had very few females in our series, so they have raced with the guys.  That is why we now have it as a non points class.  Should we have a # show up, we will certainly reconsider that decisian.

SEQUADS are looking forward to a good series of racing, everyone spread the word, the first race will be here before we know it.  We reall need a good turnout this season in order to continue this sport that we love.

    Re: womans class????

I raced womans class at mill creek yesterday (3-16-08) and i noticed that no points are awarded, guess thats due to no wemon ever signing up,and beginner class has no points, and i have a partial sponcer that wants to keep track of my races and points. im new to this, so my question is just stay in beginner or get in c class to get points.Wait, do you give points for last place cause im diffently not good enough to be in c class,i can barely keep up in beginner.anyone have any input?    Tiffany

    Re: womans class????

We give points all the way back to 20th place. If we have a constant entry in the womens class then we could keep points in that class.
