    2006 TRX 250ex Honda

I want to get into racing a little more, so i need something bigger and more powerfull. i dont have to sell it, but if i get the right price for it i will. I would rather trade for an older 400 or 450 quad. Anyway, i purchased the quad back in Feb. and it has about 15 - 20 hours on it. ive done 2 MX races with it just to see how i would do, as you can imagine, i got smoked. Its got a K&N Filter, Dynojet Carb Jet's, Bigger Exhaust Tip/Stock Baffle Removed, Pro Armour Tether Kill Switch, and XPR Pro Nerf's w/ Foot Peg's. I paid a little over $3400 for it new. Heres a couple pics when i was racing it this weekend at Double X.

Don't settle for a 400. There are plenty of 450's out there for sale. You should be able to come across one very reasonable now.

Make sure you list it on jmrpowersports.com and georgiaoffroad.com as well as exriders.com. It will help it sell quicker. There's lots of people looking this time of year.

    Re: 2006 TRX 250ex Honda

Its basicly the same money to go with the 440 kit, wouldnt go anything smaller. I drag raced one at Bama dragway that went 9.2s @ 70ish and I was impressed, that would put it pretty much dead even with a stock 450 racer(a stock 400EX runs in the 10 flat range with a 9.91 @ high 60s mph being the fastest Ive seen one go).

    BTW, mine runs 8.5s @ 75-76mph;-)

    Finally.....an amateur rider magazine.....

    Re: 2006 TRX 250ex Honda

The problem with going with a 440 kit is that it's an air cooled engine and it builds up alot of heat.Iraced a 400ex for 2 years and it had a 416 kit it wwould run with any 440 i ever raced.
